Mini Roof Rack Windsurfing Want To Transport 12' Windsurfing Board/boom Without Installing Roof Rack; What's Best Method?

Want to transport 12' windsurfing board/boom without installing roof rack; what's best method? - mini roof rack windsurfing

I take a surfboard 12 '/ Boom (full rig, but 2 to 12 m long), but I have a Mazda Protege and MINI Cooper, so I mounted on the roof. What are my best options if you do not want to install a permanent roof rack? Can I foam / inflatable rack locally (Wal-Mart, Sports Authority, etc., etc.) I have a board or cardboard and string to use / straps through the windows secure?

Thank you.

Well, you could see on the shelves of his speech, or you can do the rope, or you can simply be mailed to you ... JK!

Try a store with sporting goods. They have something in May Sorry, can not be much help, but good!

I did not lose a kayak for $ 600, sufficient to roof bars to less than what would be accompanied by a good choice for windsurfing. Bringing Down the roof rack and get a 4-point tie-system, as w hat we do not, or if the windsurfer scratched the street, let alone whether someone driving and d 'potential damage to your vehicle ... Ouch ! BTW, there are shelves that can be removed when not in use .. Great try REI or outside on the economy.

As Jean D, loosely Council will continue to anger. I'm losing games heard horror stories about the highway. If you can only short trips at low speed it along with him.
Be careful when it rains - the soft racks will usually need to go through the windows, so you fly when wet. Over time, they are not good for the painting or, esp. If you were at the beach and get a slight bit of sand between the frame and ceiling.

Thule carrier at Mazda and Mini. I use my computer to carry and easy to take off at the end of the weekend. I have no probs with them and is not really what they do. Use 'em if you need it.
Another advantage of being able to use the bike, and sometimes there are items that you do not carry in the car.

Careful with candles that will not be overwritten several times in the time that you committed.

If you are not very confident in his ability to knot in the rope and tie a proper use (even higher for some and no bungee cords), then it is a bad idea. You might Commission and any person driving behind you.

All this said, I think that's possible.
You can use a number of ways to pad your roof you will find enough to protect both vehicles and food, but in the interest of safety (and given the length) of the plate, I also recommend the connecting line of the table to a point below the prevent front bumper to the direction of rotation (and hence the exposure to wind) and tied another line of the vehicle onboard. I have the room in the queue first ceiling, and add a line through the foot straps and tie-centered us back to a safe place under the front bumper.

The barrier for those who should not be too difficult. Just keep everything as you go down to 100 miles per hour with winds from the side, then continue in the slow lane ... Conservative hold.

Soft racks are a surfboard, a good 10 pounds, but his surfboard and equipment that weigh much more. You need a real context. Once you've created, you can easily take the rack and then. Suggest Thule or Yakima. You need no special equipment. Normally self-tie neck. Attach the sail and the boom to the top of the table.
